Preproduction Documentation Analysis Depict Task

The Story Board
For the story board of our depict task, I sat down with my group and we began plotting of film idea, we decided to go down the route of a horror and basing our idea around the movie franchise "Scary Movie" after coming up with the initial idea we then began to develop the plot of the film by using a spider diagram after we had some simple plans of what will be happening we began to write down the plot and began creating the story board. The story boards depict our little horror film which involves our character which is basically a copy and paste of ghost face. Deliver a pizza to our stories protagonist/final girl. After creating the story board I believe that it went very well because it was planned probably and when began filming the storyboard was a massive help to plot out each scene so I think the creation of the story board went very well for our first try.

The Shot List

After creating and reviewing the story board I began to plot and create the film's shot list which will basically tell the camera operator and the director what the camera angles and movements should be for each and every scene in the film. For our shot list the order it went was Scene, Distance, Angle/Movement. By using this method that I came up with it was easy to tell our team's camera operator what was the shot and what position the camera should be. I was able to create this list by reviewing the story board and discussing with my team on what certain shot's should be. I believe the shot list was important to have for us to have because if we improvised each scenes camera angles we wouldn't be very successful.

The Synopsis

After creating the storyboard my team and I began to basically put the plot the together and write out the whole concept of our film, we did this to basically tell the viewer what the our film was gonna to be about. If we were a real film company we would send off our Synopsis off to massive production company to receive funding for the movie if they find our movie acceptable. In regards to our depicts task's synopsis I believe it went very well and it's easy to understand for people when they read the synopsis to gain a grasp for what the film is going to be about.

 The Production Schedule
For the production we devised a plan by doing the order of the film in a weird way for example, we decided to film all of the inside shot first then move on to the outside shots. After the storyboard and the shot list we began to plot out the schedule for the film of when and where will the film take place. What went well I believe that after creating the production schedule it was able to open a few more doors for things for the movie and I will say that did help the depth and planning of the movie but unfortunately some things began to full through but we were able to fix these problems. I'm going to be honest we didn't really stick to the production schedule for example, we were planning to film the scene outside with ghost face last but we actually started off by filming the outside scenes and we did at different times so we were not really sticking to the schedule, that we set for the filming.

The Consent Forms

For the consent forms, this was probably the most easiest process in the whole entire part of the pre-production because me and my team basically had to get one person from outside of the group to sign the consent and then we had one person in our team who was acting so basically by having only 2 actors this process was the most simplest thing to do.
Location Consent Forms
For the location consent form was rather easy to obtain as well, this is because the filming location, was one of the crew's house so it was really simple to achieve. By doing this we have a perfect setting for our film to take place.
The Risk Assessment
For the risk assessment I discuss with my team and the home owner who is also a part of the team we basically discussed what the potential risk hazards are if we are filming there. As well as environmental hazards to do with the filming location I have also discussed with the team on the hazards that could arise whilst filming there. For example someone could trip over some wires or even a tripod. After identifying these hazards we came up with ways of dealing with the potential hazards for example, attaching some hazard tape to the tripod legs to notify people at the filming location to avoid the tripod.

 The Budget List
For the budgeting of the movie, my team and I decided to sit down together and discuss the total budget for this movie which came to eleven pounds for the filming process. The items that we needed for the movie would be a pizza due to the plot of the movie being based around pizza, secondly the next item that we needed are the masks for the ghost face character because none of the crew owned a pair. Finally we needed some snacks for the crew to eat whilst filming to make sure everyone has enough energy for filming and acting.

 The Minutes
For the minutes we basically used this for a sort diary/ record of who was available and who wasn't this is because it would tell the team members who was away and what would be possible missing. Other than being used as a sort roll call list the minutes were used to tell the team what has been completed and what other documentation or filming needed to be completed as well as this it tells the team who completed, what task. By using this document it was easy for our team to locate and check off what has been completed and what needed to be done for the preproduction documentation.
